Rotating Machinery Services Acquires EthosEnergy’s Steam Turbine and Centrifugal Compressor Business, Revives the Historic TurboCare Steam and Compression Brand

Bethlehem, PA – [December 22, 2025] — Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. (RMS), a leading independent provider of engineered solutions for critical rotating equipment, today announced the acquisition of the steam turbine and centrifugal compressor business from EthosEnergy, with historic roots under the TurboCare name.

The acquisition significantly expands RMS’s service capabilities and geographic reach by adding four established service and manufacturing facilities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands, while bringing more than 160 experienced employees into the RMS organization.

As part of the transaction, RMS will revive the well-regarded TurboCare Steam and Compression brand, blending its long-standing independent engineering heritage with RMS’s vertically integrated, technology-driven service model.

Key additions include the Chicopee and Sterling, Massachusetts blade, seal and diaphragm manufacturing, and steam turbine engineering facilities, respectively, which will serve as RMS’s dedicated center for support of legacy GE Fitchburg steam turbines. With the integration of a highly experienced engineering team and decades of specialized design data developed independently to service this fleet, RMS is now one of the industry’s leading independent providers of engineered solutions, spare parts, and rotor repair for GE Fitchburg and other OEM-steam turbines.

“This acquisition is a major milestone for RMS,” said John Bartos, CEO of RMS. “By welcoming the ‘TurboCare’ team and expanding upon our collective aftermarket support tradition, we are preserving valuable independent engineering & technical expertise while enhancing the speed and innovation our customers have come to expect.”

“This transaction reflects our commitment to ensuring customers of our steam turbine and compressor business continue to receive world-class support. RMS is the ideal partner to carry forward the TurboCare legacy, combining deep technical expertise with a customer-first approach”, said Ana Amicarella, EthosEnergy CEO. “We believe they are best positioned to build on this heritage, and we look forward to a continued partnership that delivers exceptional value to the industry.”
